The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support stage designed for intervention ordeals a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
